Summary: Britain had been circling throughout the US Civil War, threatened by the USA’s potential to overtake them as a global superpower. The Truce gave England the moment they needed to insert itself, maintain its commitment to anti-slavery policies, and assist in the deconstruction on the USA.

The UNITY POLICY was created here to promote healing after the horrors incurred by the institution of slavery. By the early 2000’s, in response to desperate pleas from their citizens, leaders in Victoria began to ease their harsh standards.
